Hey everybody, it's Craig at Private Fairway. Do you want to know why the pros are so good? The pros are good because they understand what's going on with their golf swing. They understand what's going on with the club path, face angle, the launch angle, all of those different things.

When you're at the range and you hit a shot like this one here, do you know the difference between that shot and this shot that goes way out to the right? We need to look at the mechanics of what's going on with that shot. There's a few different things the track net will show you.

First is you can look at the impact data of what's going on with your club and the ball. So on this shot, what's happening is the path of my club is traveling inside to out. So an inside to out swing, and the face of my club is a little bit open actually, but it's actually closed to my path.

You'll see what's going on is as I come back, same thing. My club path is traveling on that blue line, but the face of my club is closed to that red arrow. And now I get that orange line that starts out to the right, comes back, and lands just left of the center line.

So what happens is, if you look back here at this shot, what's happening is the ball is starting out to the right of the center line, and then because the face of my club is a little closed, it's coming back. Let's look at this other shot here that's way out to the right.

You'll see my club path is inside to out, but look at the face of my club is open. So my swing is actually the same, or actually the motion of my swing is pretty much the same, but what's happening is I'm just leaving that face of the club open through impact.

And you'll see here on the video what's happening is this is drawn for me, my club path. So this means at impact, and if I were to come up forward here like this, and we look at the club coming down, the club is traveling on that blue line, and the face of the club is this red arrow.

See, the face of the club is outside my club path, and that's what's going to make that ball go way out to the right on that orange line.

So sometimes we think, oh, that might be because I'm swinging outside in or over the top, but the problem is when you practice on the range and you hit shots, you just don't exactly know what's going on with each of your, with each shot, but when you practice with the track man, you know on every shot.

So you learn and you get to understand what's going on with your golf game, and then you can make adjustments to fix it.

You've all watched the YouTube videos trying to get better, you've bought new clubs, you've put the golf head cover under your arm to keep connected, all those different things you've done, but what you haven't done is really understood what's going on when you swing the club, and the only way to know that is to use a system like track man.
